Food security at the heart of climate crisis
The climate crisis is no longer a glimpse into the future but the daily reality for communities around the world. Almost half of the world’s population lives in areas that are highly vulnerable to climate change. Climate extremes are one of the leading causes of food insecurity globally.
The exhibition showcases how World Food Programme (WFP) and its partners are moving from crisis response to risk management and from saving lives to changing lives through innovative and scalable solutions to help food insecure people prepare for, respond to and recover from climate shocks and stresses. Voices from the frontlines of the climate crisis are important features of the exhibition.
The original version of the exhibition has been produced in English by the WFP Nordic Office and is being edited and presented in Finland by the United Nations Association of Finland. The exhibition has been produced with the support of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.
